Dawn used to be friends with Sun before the incident on January 31st, 2010, which was the last day TDIYE was used. As [adult swim] would sign off, the two would come on and scare children away from watching the block. Then on that day, while the bumper was playing for an extended period of time, audio of the mass murder was playing. Dawn became more and more disturbed as time went by, and Sun did nothing but enjoyed the massacre and winked at the viewers watching the bumper. After it was shut down, Dawn was left traumatized, and he lost trust in Sun. Even to this day, he worries that if they do ever come back on TV, a similar incident would happen, or audio of the exact one would be played again. Anytime he's reminded of that day, he would get flashbacks and even start crying. He even thinks of who did it, and keeps thinking that Sun is the culprit. Over time ever since the incident, he grew more close to Dusk and Moon from The Dusk is your Friend, both who are aware of what happened. They used to be rivals against Dawn, but are now friends and even guardians of him.
Sun was Dawn's friend in scaring children away from watching [adult swim] as it signed off. Ever since the incident on January 31st, 2010, he hasn't been trusted by Dawn, and he was called out for basically doing nothing while audio of the mass murder was playing. He's even rumored to have been the culprit of the massacre, but the truth is left to be revealed. It's also unknown on if he's responsible for hijacking the channel's frequency that resulted in the extended version of the bump airing. Sun often gives Dawn flashbacks of that day by either playing sounds reminding him of the massacre, or just straight up play the recording of the bump that he found. He's known for his wink, and to Dawn, it's a huge red flag for when Sun winks after saying certain things. Moon is Sun's rival, and he often gets his ass kicked by her whenever Dawn or Dusk are threatened by him, even if he's just messing with them. You'll never know what he may do next as he can be unpredictable, and his true intentions still remain unknown...
Dusk is basically the inverse of Dawn. She and Moon are both part of The Dusk is your Friend, one of the spinoffs of The Dawn is your Enemy. They both used to be rivals against Dawn, but after becoming aware of the incident that happened on January 31st, 2010, they became close friends with him. Moon is Dusk's bestie, and whenever she and Dawn feel threatened, she can call Moon to either fight or escort them to somewhere else, mainly to the dark. Dusk is the optimistic go-to support for Dawn, (nearly) always being there for him, and whenever the trauma about the incident gets in his mind, Dusk tries to find ways of getting it out of his mind and making him feel better. Of course, it's usually only temporary as the trauma can hit him back, and sometimes the methods Dusk use may not very effective. Occasionally, she takes him out at night to, well, enjoy the night, and to also give him the reminder that his friend really is the dusk, and that he's more safe in it.
Moon is basically the inverse of Sun. She and Dusk were rivals against Dawn and Sun before the incident on January 31st, 2010. Ever since that, Moon became more of a guardian of Dawn over time. She continues to have hatred towards Sun, and it increased because of what he did that day. Whenever Dawn or Dusk feel threatened she can be called upon to fight or escort them to a safer place. It's usually fight, but when the threat is at the point where fighting isn't enough, then escorting is the route Moon takes. When escorting, she calms and heals one if injured, and keeping them protected from the danger. When fighting, she can basically go feral, and when she does, it's best to stay away from her and let her do her thing. Moon has various moon forms, changing every week in a cycle unless there comes a time where it's necessary to change out of cycle. Full, where she's more caring, new, where she's more ready for battle, and either quarter, gibbous, or crescent, where she's between the two. She's like a mother figure to Dawn and Dusk, and she gives them the reminder that the night is more safe, and that it really is their friend.
Defamer is the more punk one in the Defamer Doom Duo. He's the type to poke fun at Dawn for "being weak and sensitive" to the incident on January 31st, 2010, and that "he needs to toughen up more" when he can't because of the trauma ingrained in his mind. He even does some of the same things as Sun, messing with him by playing audio resembling the massacre, or by playing the actual recording of the bump that aired as ways to force Dawn to get over it, but as mentioned before, his trauma is stuck in his mind, and it's something that he won't get over. He's homies with Sun and Doom, making up a trio of "those who aren't whiny bitches" of the incident. He's also protective of the two, preventing them from being molly rocked by Moon should they piss her off at some point, especially Doom because of his temptation to get in fights with others.
Doom is the more feral one in the Defamer Doom Duo. He's the type to invoke fear on Dawn whenever he sees him. His black tears and drool can turn into blood and smear it on anything and anyone, including himself, to remind Dawn of the January 31st, 2010 incident, and as the blood that comes from Doom is pure and fresh, it makes him believe that a murder truly happened. The blood can also come from anyone he hurt, which may not be as fresh, but still effective. He's also the type of guy that likes to eat anything both edible and inedible (he ate a tampon once). He nibbles on his friends sometimes too. He has the temptation to fight anyone he comes across, and when he does, Defamer has to come in so that he doesn't get his ass whooped by the opponent, especially if that opponent is Moon. He appears to get along with Sun more than Defamer as they both have chaotic energy and like to mess with the others.
Eclipse is the mysterious shadow who has a lust for blood and chaos. They have the capability to possess/"eclipse" others to make them bloodthirsty creatures and go out and recklessly cause chaos and kill people. People fear Eclipse and even marked them as the nemesis of all. The main subjects for possession are Sun and Moon. When Eclipse possesses Sun, he becomes Eclipsed Sun, often known as Black Sun. He obtains a more shadow like appearance, and his hair turns into tentacles. They can impale, slam, and choke others until they die. When Eclipse possesses Moon, she becomes Eclipsed Moon, often known as Blood Moon. She obtains a more red appearance, and her eyes become black and red. Attacks from her are more animal-like, clawing, tearing, and biting others until they die. Nobody know who or what Eclipse is after exactly, but some speculate that it's Dawn and Dusk they're after. No one knows what their intentions are should they catch them, but from their history, it's not gonna be good...
Not much is known about Twilight, but she comes from a custom TDIYE bump known as The Twilight is Your Ally. She's probably the most optimistic of all characters in my The Dawn is Your Enemy lore.
Aurora is like a travelling guide. She has helped out Dawn find Moon when in her normal new moon form. She guides by releasing auroras in the direction who she's helping is going.

A version of Dawn from a shit variant known as "The Dawn is Your Friend." Mostly red, has black eyes with red pupils, insane, and apparently has a green bug on one of his eyes. All I know is that he's probably on crack.
A version of Sun from a shit variant known as "The Dawn is Your Friend." Blue and red, looks stoned as fuck, baked even, and has a blue centipede on his head for some reason. He has a whip that can "force others to be his friend" which don't sound like a good way to make friends.
One of the crew members of [adult swim]. He found the tape of "The Dawn is Your Friend" and after playing it, he ran over the tape 3 times to destroy it. Not completely though as the voice from it, who turned out to be a demonic Mike Lazzo, still came through.
